At Holistic Mountain Healing we provide online, individual psychotherapy that is conducted with your unique goals and concerns in mind. While your journey is your own, our approach includes values-based work, mindfulness practice, and exploring the mind-body connection through embodiment — helping each client develop a strong foundation for ongoing healing and growth.

Values

Based in the practice of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), our team works closely with each client to support them in identifying and connecting with their values. We believe that establishing a clear understanding of what is important to you can help you achieve balance in your life and provide guidance when direction is uncertain.

mindfulness

Our approach is rooted in the understanding and practice of mindfulness. This process incorporates skills from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help you use mindfulness as the basis for emotion regulation, interpersonal skills, and distress tolerance. We support you in learning how to ground yourself in the present moment and learn to be more aware of the experiences in your mind and body.

Embodiment

We believe that establishing a healthy connection between, and relationship with, your mind and body can increase awareness and healing. Utilizing practices from Somatic Experiencing, our team will help you explore how emotions and trauma/past experiences are stored in the body, as well as how to release them. Connecting to the healing modalities of the body provides you with the opportunity to repair deeply and fully.
